“Go I Know Not Whither and Fetch I Know not What”
Stop Motion Animation, 0:03:14; 2017
While the body is carried from one place to an other, the mind moves as well towards the final goal: a village somewhere in Siberia. The camera captures the actual surroundings while traveling: a look through the window in a train, catching the next bus and passengers at the airport gate. At the same time thoughts become visible in the shape of sketches in a little notebook. This drawings talk about expectations mixed up with imaginations of this unknown place: a donkey pulling a car, a Lenin statue floating on a rubber boat and Baba Yaga selling handmade socks at the roadside.
